  I finished Tom’s book yesterday morning and I cannot believe what he went through and what one could do to another out the institutions. My god! Tom is so strong to have pushed though what he did to confront and write this truth as painful as it was!

This IS a gripping horror story. Not just something I didn’t expect to hear of as happening literally two blocks from my house growing up, but something I had ever even imagined as happening anywhere. This should be made into a movie.

  I forgot, or maybe didn’t know, that you were raised in the same neighborhood at about the same time as Carol.
  It has to be startling to find that this was happening, not just in a suburban neighborhood in northern California, but in YOUR suburban neighborhood.
